JIEE (Joint Information Exchange Environment) is an information sharing/situational awareness /shared operational picture solution which is effective during both normal operations and emergency situations. The JIEE solution was developed by KSI to support the National Guard Bureau (NGB) and has matured to its 4.0 release offering improved reporting capabilities and a framework which supports future development and enhancements.

This collaborative software for operations management was extensively and successfully tested during Ardent Sentry 2007.  Ardent Sentry is a Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS) directed, U.S. Northern Command (USNORTHCOM) sponsored Homeland Defense (HLD) and Defense Support of Civil Authorities (DSCA) exercise. The Homeland Security Council has designated Ardent Sentry as a National Level Exercise for 2007. This exercise was the largest and most complex exercise undertaken by the command. 

JIEE’s version 4.0, information sharing/situational awareness solution continues to link the National Guard personnel in all 54 states and territories and the National Guard Bureau in Crystal City Virginia enabling the Guard to “do business the way the Guard likes to do business.”
